FAQ for TCAP V2 Photoshoots

Hey everyone! First, thank you for being part of this project. The Curves Ahead Project Vol 2: The Body Issue is all about celebrating plus-size bodies in an artistic, empowering, and thought-provoking way.

We see nude and semi-nude photography of straight-size people all the time, and it's rarely questioned—it’s considered art, beauty, strength. But when plus-size bodies are shown in similar ways, they’re often either oversexualized or criticized. That’s what this project is here to challenge.

This shoot is about pride, confidence, and breaking down those biases. Your body deserves to be accepted, just as it is. This book will highlight the beauty, strength, and artistry of curves, softness, and self-expression.

Here’s everything you need to know before your session.

What should I bring?

Robe or cover-up – To keep warm between shots.

Heels – Black is preferred, but any color works!

Hair & Makeup – Arrive fully camera-ready (a natural glam look works great).

Accessories (Optional) – Bring anything that adds personality to your photos:

Nude or black thong panties

  • Jewelry, statement pieces
  • Hats, scarves, gloves
  • Oversized shirts or sheer fabric
  • What kind of outfits should I bring?
  • This is an implied nude/nude shoot, so clothing isn’t required—but you’re welcome to wear a thong or bring accessories if you’d like. The focus is on capturing your form and curves in a way that’s tasteful, artistic, and powerful.

Do I need to be completely topless?

Yes, you’ll need to be braless/topless for this shoot to avoid bra lines in the images.

That said, you will be able to cover your chest if needed. Many poses naturally conceal the chest using arms, hands, body positioning, props, or creative angles. If you have concerns about this, let’s talk before the shoot—I want you to feel comfortable.

You are not required to cover up. More bold shots do include images of bare breasts and we can certainly do those if you are willing. This is YOUR shoot so own it!

Do I need to be completely Nude?

No. You are not required to be completly nude. As mentioned above, you are welcome to wear a thong as well. However, that is not required. If you are comofortable being fully nude then that is not a problem at all.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes, you can bring a trusted friend or partner if it helps you feel more at ease—just let me know ahead of time.

However, if they start making you nervous, being disruptive, or throwing off the energy of the shoot, they will be asked to leave. I need to make sure you feel confident and focused during your session.

Will anyone else be there while I’m shooting?

Nope! I’ve scheduled each session individually to protect your privacy.

If another model arrives early, they’ll wait outside or in the designated area unless you’re okay with them coming in.

Anything I should avoid before the shoot?

Skip slippery body oils – They can ruin backdrops and make surfaces unsafe. Lotion that absorbs into your skin is fine.

If you’re not comfortable lying on the floor, bring a black or white sheet. Some poses might require it.

What’s the goal of this project?

This is about changing the way plus-size bodies are seen.

I want this project to make people feel empowered, seen, and respected. Society has long decided that plus-size nudity is either “too much” or “inappropriate.” Why? Because we’ve been conditioned to believe only thin bodies are worthy of artistic admiration.

    That stops here.

Through The Curves Ahead Project Vol 2, we’re showing that plus-size bodies are just as strong, elegant, and deserving of being captured in a way that celebrates them.

    Final Notes

Check out the sample images for inspiration—but don’t feel like you have to copy them exactly. This is your shoot, and I want to capture your essence.

Relax and have fun. This is about celebrating you.

If you want tattoos, scars, or identifying marks removed—or if you want to make sure your face isn’t shown in certain images—just let me know. I want you to feel good about the final results.

I seriously appreciate each of you for trusting me with this. We’re going to create something powerful, beautiful, and unforgettable. Let’s make magic!
